Guesthouse · New Build
For Jogjakarta City Residence, the approach was to transform a city guesthouse into a place that feels closer to a real home.
The building keeps a simple tropical language: pitched roofs, stone walls, timber details, wide openings, and a shaded terrace facing the pool. The swimming pool was made to curve gently through the courtyard, so it does not feel like a leftover rectangle, but becomes part of the daily view from the rooms, terrace, and garden.
Even though it sits in the middle of Jogja, the atmosphere is intentionally more relaxed and domestic. That also seems to be what guests remember most: a place that works well for families or groups, with a clean pool, complete facilities, and a location still close to the city center.
